Why Lichtblick Augenärzte?
Ophthalmology has seen immense advances in recent years on the diagnostic technology side. Yet conditions affecting the eye are often more complex than the screening of individual findings would suggest. A sound diagnosis therefore calls for a broad depth of experience, so that those individual findings can be interpreted correctly. Prof. Rieck spent almost 20 years at the ophthalmology department of Europe's largest university hospital, latterly always in senior positions. He went on to work — at times simultaneously — at seven eye clinics across northern Germany, all of which sought out his surgical expertise. Following the insolvency of the Schlosspark-Klinik in Berlin, he and his colleagues arrived at the idea of establishing a practice that brings together the expertise of a hospital with something that had previously been overlooked: a genuinely pleasant environment for patients. As a patient, you are therefore never short-changed, because a personal, attentive approach is decisive in building a relationship of trust between doctor and patient.
